‘Los artículos definidos e indefinidos’
Articles are the words we put before the subject and will tell if this is a feminine or masculine word, as well as singular and plural. Articles are grouped into definite or indefinite. This part may be a bit more difficult for English speakers as there is only the articles ‘the’ and ‘a’ to be used; on the other hand, German speakers will probably find it easy to learn considering that in this language, the article changes depending on the case being used (nominativ, dativ), something we do not have in Spanish language.
You will find below a table with the definite and indefinite articles to help you get an idea of how to use it when speaking Spanish.
Singular | Plural | ||
---|---|---|---|
Masculino | Determinado | el | los |
a+el=al // de+el=del | Indeterminado | un | unos |
Femenino | Determinado | la | las |
Indeterminado | una | unas |
