Demonstrative pronouns


‘Pronombres demostrativos’

Demonstrative pronouns are words that substitute and determine the noun, to indicate where something or someone is, related to the speaker and/or listener.

The different types of pronouns must be followed according to the gender and number we are referring to. These pronouns can refer to and object in space or time.

Examples:

-¿Dónde está la camiseta roja? Where is the red t-shirt?

-Es esa de ahí Is that one over there

-El pasado verano fue muy caluroso. Last summer was very hot.

Esperemos que este sea más fresco. Let’s hope this one is cooler.

In below example it is used with the word ‘todo’ (all).

-Todo esto es extraño This is all strange
