Demonstrative pronouns


Los pronombres demostrativos‘ are words that substitute and determine the noun, to indicate where something or someone is, related to the speaker and/or listener. The different types of pronouns must be followed according to the gender and number we are referring to. These pronouns can refer to and object in space or time.

Examples:

¿Dónde está la camiseta roja? Where is the red t-shirt?

Es esa de ahí Is that one over there

El pasado verano fue muy caluroso. Last summer was very hot.

-Esperemos que este sea más fresco. Let’s hope this one is cooler.

In below example it is used with the word ‘todo’ (all).

-Todo esto es extraño This is all strange
